The gang at Fox & Friends say they’re incredibly offended by what comedian Michelle Wolf said at Saturday night’s White House Correspondents’ Dinner, and they think everyone else should be, too.
In other words, Fox News now hires delicate snowflakes with no brains to host their mindless shows.
Co-host Brian Kilmeade declared:
“I have never seen a comedian bomb so wholeheartedly as she did.”
That set off fellow whiner Ainsley Earhardt, who commented:
“Not only did it cross the line Isn’t it supposed to be a roast? It’s fine to make fun and pick apart maybe something that was fun in the news, but make fun of someone’s looks? That’s over the line.”
Actually, Ainsley, at a real roast, the most disgusting and personal attacks are made on the person being roasted. Take a look at the old Dean Martin roasts or the ones that Comedy Central does. They’re supposed to be offensive.
Earhardt then added this about the remarks Wolf made regarding the White House press secretary:
“Aunt Lydia in The Handmaid’s Tale, if you Google that image, it’s not complimentary. She’s a working mother, it takes a lot of work to do that. She’s doing the best job she can.”
But what’s most galling (and completely overlooked) by the Fox & Friends morons is this: At a roast (or at a typical Correspondents’ Dinner), the comedian gets to take his or her shots, and then the president takes the podium and responds. But that wasn’t possible because Donald Trump is too chickenshit to actaully show his face and take the jokes aimed at him. He has no sense of humor and is completely unable to laugh at himself.
Maybe the Fox News crowd and their viewers should go find their security blankets and make a mad dash to their safe spaces. They love to claim that those who disagree with them are too “politically correct,” but when the jokes are aimed at them, they turn into spineless douches canoes.
