GOP Lawmaker Calls Out Trump’s Weird Global Warming Tweet: ‘If This Isn’t A Joke It Should Be’

Donald Trump’s tweet on global warming this morning was so stupid that he was called out by The Weather Channel, Democrats, a celebrity chef and a cast member of Jersey Shore, among others. The former reality show star doesn’t know the difference between climate and the weather.

Trump tweeted, “In the East, it could be the COLDEST New Year’s Eve on record. Perhaps we could use a little bit of that good old Global Warming that our Country, but not other countries, was going to pay TRILLIONS OF DOLLARS to protect against. Bundle up!”

That’s as stupid as the time Sen. James Inhofe (R-OK) walked in the Senate with a snowball to totally prove that global warming is not a thing.

Rep. Carlos Curbelo (R-Fla.), co-chairman of the House Climate Solutions Caucus, is the first and probably only Republican to call out Trump’s tweet.

“If this isn’t a joke it should be,” Curbelo tweeted. “Average global temperatures are rising; so are sea levels. That’s not good for S. FL. It was a mistake to leave the #ParisAgreement & it’s misleading to cite the temperature on any given day to dismiss dangerous risks posed by CO2 emissions.”

Celebrity Chef José Andrés has a very good question for Trump.

Conspiracy theorist Donald Trump has denied climate science in the past, insisting that global warming is a “hoax” invented by the Chinese.

NASA published an article in 2005 explaining the difference between weather and climate. Someone, please read it to Donald before he wishes global warming on all of us again.
