Iraq War Veteran Tammy Duckworth Just Schooled ‘Cadet Bone Spurs’ For Calling Dems ‘Treasonous’

Sen. Tammy Duckworth (D-Ill.), an Iraq war veteran who suffered severe combat wounds, losing both of her legs and damage to her right arm, fired back at ‘Cadet Bone Spurs’ after he called Democrats ‘treasonous’ for not clapping for him during his State of the Union address.

“We don’t live in a dictatorship or a monarchy,” Duckworth tweeted. “I swore an oath—in the military and in the Senate—to preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States, not to mindlessly cater to the whims of Cadet Bone Spurs and clap when he demands I clap.”

“Thankfully, there are better quotes from better Republican Presidents,” she continued. “Here’s one from Theodore Roosevelt—a Republican who earned the applause he received—that Trump might want to consider.”

Last month, Duckworth tore into Trump for lecturing Democrats on the military and noted that the former reality show star was the recipient of five deferments.

“I spent my entire adult life looking out for the well-being, the training, the equipping of the troops for whom I was responsible,” she said. “Sadly, this is something that the current occupant of the Oval Office does not seem to care to do – and I will not be lectured about what our military needs by a five-deferment draft-dodger.”

“And I have a message for cadet bone spurs: If you cared about our military, you’d stop baiting Kim Jong-Un into a war that could put 85,000 American troops, and millions of innocent civilians, in danger.”
