‘Is This Still Off-Camera?’ Press Makes Fun Of Sarah Huckabee Sanders On Twitter

Sarah Huckabee Sanders

White House Deputy Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders did a good job of confusing reporters Thursday when she posted visual aids at a press briefing where video cameras have been banned by the Trump administration, Raw Story reports.

Oooh, that’s gotta sting! Huckabee Sanders gets roasted on Twitter

Huckabee Sanders was in the middle of promoting president Donald Trump’s “MAGAnomics” when she pointed journalists to two large monitors behind her podium.

Which prompted a question from MSNBC’s Hallie Jackson:

Is this still off-camera?

Others decided to highlight this weird move by the Trump administration.

This follows a dustup earlier this week between Huckabee Sanders and Fox News reporter John Roberts, who zinged her on Tuesday over the White House’s refusal to allow cameras during daily press briefings, The Hill reports. When he stood up to leave, the deputy press secretary trotted out a weak joke that back fired.

Sanders: John Roberts is bored today; he’s stepping out.

Roberts: If it was on camera, I might not be.

He later explained he left early in order to make an appearance on his own network.

Rare notes that other Twitter users had something to say about those helpful visual aids.

Well, yeah

Yes, the Trump administration wants journalists to see these visual aids. No, they don’t want YOU to see them, because that would invite more questioning. And if there’s one thing Trump and his cronies don’t like, it’s more questions.
