Donald Trump launched a bizarre rant on Monday, targeting Robert Mueller while bashing his longtime former attorney, Michael Cohen for cooperating with the special counsel. And then, of course, he praised his longtime ally Roger Stone for not cooperating with Mueller’s team while referring to himself in quotes. It’s almost as if Trump is sending a message to Stone that he will pardon him. White House counselor Kellyanne Conway’s husband, George, called Trump our for tampering with a witness.

‘“I will never testify against Trump.” This statement was recently made by Roger Stone, essentially stating that he will not be forced by a rogue and out of control prosecutor to make up lies and stories about “President Trump”‘ the president* tweeted. ‘Nice to know that some people still have “guts!”’

Conway, an attorney, responded, referring to statutes for obstruction of justice and tampering with witnesses, informants or victims.

Neal Katyal, the acting solicitor general during the Obama administration, has co-written opinion pieces with Conway, and he weighed in, too.

“George is right. This is genuinely looking like witness tampering,” he tweeted. “DOJ (at least with a nonfake AG) prosecutes cases like these all the time. The fact it’s done out in the open is no defense. Trump is genuinely melting down, and no good lawyer can represent him under these circs.”

George and Kellyanne’s marriage must be a rocky one.

It’s almost as if Trump doesn’t want the job and he’s deliberately trying to make himself look guiltier.
