In last night’s speech in Seoul, Trump ingratiated himself to the South Korean National Assembly by praising the country’s prowess in golf.

In fact, and you know what I’m going to say, the Women’s US Open was held this year at Trump National Golf Club in Bedminster, New Jersey, and it just happened to be won by a great Korean golfer.
He’s referring to LPGA tour leader Park Sung-hyun, pictured below hoisting her US Women’s Open Championship trophy:
For once, Trump is not lying, no doubt because he’s speaking in hushed tones about the only things he seems to care about: golf and his brand. For once, his praise of Korean golfing prowess, although exaggerated as usual, is somewhat born out by the statistics, at least for the women:
The Duffer-in-Chief himself has visited golf courses 73 times since his inauguration, 70 of them Trump properties.
In a courageous show of defiance, tough guy Trump didn’t similarly enshrine “Rocket Boy’s” deified late father, Kim Jong-Il, who reportedly shot a 38-under par round – his very first – of 34 at Pyongyang Golf Course in 1994. He also didn’t poop.
But Trump’s flattery isn’t about golf. It’s about furthering his brand at the expense of America’s highest and most visible office; that is, at OUR expense. He’s lumping our already great country in with his other failed ventures (Trump Airlines, Trump Ice, Trump: The Game, Trump Taj Mahal, Trump Marina, Trump Plaza, Trump Entertainment Resorts, Trump Magazine, Trump Mortgage, Trump Steaks, GoTrump.com travel, Trump Tower, Trump University, Trump Vodka, Success by Trump and Empire by Trump colognes, Trump: The Fragrance, and Trump mattresses).
This one betrayal of American values should be enough to impeach Trump, if not to let him be buried under Bedminster’s 18th green and let his puckered little pie-hole be used for the cup.
