The Internet Sends Mitch McConnell To Hell Over His Remarks On Trump’s Next SCOTUS Pick


The Supreme Court decision today, known as Janus, would not have happened without the stonewalling of President Barack Obama’s nomination of Merrick Garland. Lately, we’re hearing a lot of 5-4 SCOTUS rulings and that is because Republicans, largely with Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnel’s help, stole Garland’s seat and now we have Justice Neil Gorsuch, a conservative nominated by former reality show star Donald Trump.

In February of 2016, McConnell wrote, “The American people should have a voice in the selection of their next Supreme Court Justice. Therefore, this vacancy should not be filled until we have a new President.”

And then today, after it was announced that Justice Anthony Kennedy is going to retire, McConnell tweeted that “The Senate stands ready to fulfill its constitutional role by offering advice and consent on @POTUS @realDonaldTrump’s nominee to fill this vacancy.”

“We will vote to confirm Justice Kennedy’s successor this fall,” the little shit added.


Twitter users jumped all over McConnell’s shit.

The fucking nerve of this guy.

Kennedy is a conservative, but he crossed party lines in some of his rulings. We didn’t always agree with him, but he was a fair man. When his replacement is picked, you just know that Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer will fold like a cheap deck of cards and support Trump’s nomination.

Republicans confirmed Gorsuch in just two months, but Obama’s nominee wasn’t given a chance.
