Trump Preparing To Hire Well-Known Conspiracy Theorist For His Legal Team

Wondering just how much Robert Mueller is messing with Donald Trump’s limited mind these days? Wonder no more.

Granted, Mueller lives rent-free in Trump’s mostly empty cranium on a regular basis, but now it looks like Donnie is so damn paranoid about what Mueller has planned for him that he’s beefing up his legal team with a guy who traffics in conspiracy theories.

The New York Times reports that Trump is about to place on retainer former U.S. Attorney Joseph diGenova.

An ex-U.S. Attorney, you might say. That sounds impressive!

But diGenova is not your usual former prosecutor. He’s a frequent guest on Fox “News” and loves to say that the so-called “deep state” is trying to “frame” Trump.

Earlier this year, during one of his many appearances on Fox, diGenova commented:

“Make no mistake about it, a group of FBI and DOJ people were trying to frame Donald Trump of a falsely created crime.”

DiGenova has also called former FBI Director James Comey “a danger to the country.”

News of Trump possibly adding diGenova to his already shaky legal team comes just a day after reports suggested that the White House is preparing to ramp up their attacks on the investigation being conducted by the Special Counsel and his team of attorneys. According to the Daily Beast:

“The president, those close to him say, is determined to more directly confront the federal probe into his campaign’s potential role in alleged Russian election interference, even if it means exacerbating his legal standing amid an investigation that has already ensnared some of his most senior campaign and White House aides.”

In other words, Trump is willing to, as the old saying goes, cut off his own nose to spite his face. If that doesn’t prove the Donald is scared, angry, and guilty, then nothing else possibly can.
