No one knew who White House staffer Kelly Sadler was before but we sure do now after she mocked Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz) for having brain cancer. McCain opposed Donald Trump’s CIA nominee over her failure to condemn torture, so during a meeting, Sadler said, “It doesn’t matter, he’s dying anyway.” The backlash has been fierce.
Fox host Neil Cavuto asked Office of Management and Budget Director Mick Mulvaney what he thought of Sadler’s remark about the Senator who is battling brain cancer. At first, Mulvaney said it was ‘awful,’ then he said he was disappointed that the conversation was leaked.
Cavuto said that some people think Sadler should be fired, but Mulvaney disagreed.
“Do you think that’s right?” Cavuto asked.
“I don’t,” Mulvaney said. “You have to have freedom to speak in a private meeting. We have all said things in private that we would never say publicly. I think she handled it appropriately.”

I didn’t realize that a Cabinet meeting is considered a “private meeting.” I do not ever want to hear another Trumpp supporter get offended by a make up joke. Speaking of that, White House Press secretary Sarah Sanders was angry with her staff on Friday over Sandler’s remark. Sanders reportedly called the comment “unacceptable,” but she was said to be more upset about the leak than the comment.
Trump attacked the Arizona senator who was diagnosed with brain cancer last year at a recent rally.
We’re really going to have to Make America Decent Again when the Trump administration is done. I may not usually like McCain’s politics but we need to have some respect for others, especially a man who fought honorably in a war, was a POW (Trump mocked him for that during his campaign), a husband, father, and grandfather.
